Management Changes At NCUA

ALEXANDRIA, Va.-NCUA has announced several management realignments in its headquarters and Region II offices. Examination and Insurance (E&I) Deputy Director Tawana James has been named Director of the Office of Small Credit Union Initiatives; Office of Credit Union Development Director Anthony LaCreta has been named Deputy Director of the Office of Examination and Insurance; and Inspector General Herb Yolles has been named Associate Region II Director of Operations.

Four Are Promoted At CUNA

WASHINGTON-CUNA has promoted four members of senior management. Eric Richard has been named executive vice president and general counsel; Wes Millar has been promoted to senior vice president of CUNA Strategic Services Inc. (CSSI); Jill Tomalin has been named senior vice president, association services; Terry Costin has been named senior vice president, marketing and sales.

Wheatley Director of the Year

WAIKOLOA, Hawaii-Henry Wheatley, chairman of the board at Fort Knox FCU in Radcliff, Ky., was named the 2004 CUES Directors Educational Forum Director of the Year at a ceremony held at the group's 2004 Directors Conference here. Wheatley has been a member of FKFCU's board for more than 27 years, twice serving as chair. Since he became a member of the board, FKFCU has grown from $36 million to $420 million in assets.

Branch Interim CEO At WOCCU

MADISON, Wis.-Brian Branch, chief operating officer (COO) of the World Council of Credit Unions Inc. (WOCCU), has been named interim CEO. Branch will serve as interim CEO until WOCCU names a successort to Arthur Arnold, who plans to leave Jan. 1. Branch, who received his Ph.D. in economics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, has been with WOCCU 22 years.

e-Bay Exec To Keynote At CUES

MADISON, Wis.-Howard Schmidt, VP/Chief Information Security Officer with eBay, Inc. and Former White House Cyber Security Advisor will be the key speaker during CUES 2005 Executive Technology Forum, March 8-10 at the Phoenix Marriot Mesa. Schmidt will discuss current threats in cyberspace and provide insightful recommendations to better protect credit union networks.
