Year-End Dividends Announced

LOWELL, Mass.-More credit unions are beginning to report their year-end bonuses for members. For the 11th consecutive year, the $600-million Jeanne D'Arc Credit Union is distributing year-end bonuses to members. The CU is paying the bonus dividend in four different ways: mortgage members received 0.5% of their entire interest paid for the year; consumer loan members received 1% of their entire interest paid for the year; statement and passbook savings members received 10% of their year-to-date accumulated dividends, and Visa Platinum and Gold cardholders were paid a cash-back bonus in October.

In Buffalo, N.Y., Western Division FCU said it will pay its 12,000 members a $250,000 bonus dividend. It is the second consecutive year the credit union has returned a like amount of money to members. "Our members drive our success more than any other type of financial institution," said Craig Mellenthien, CEO.
