Bremer To Speak At CCUL Rally
RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif.-L. Paul Bremer III, recent presidential envoy to Iraq and administrator of the Coalition Provisional Authority, will be the featured speaker at the California Credit Union League's annual Government Relations Rally, April 5-6.
Additionally, Howard Gould, commissioner of the California Department of Financial Institutions; Elizabeth Dooley, deputy commissioner of CUs and Nicholas Owens, NCUA director of external affairs, will participate in a forum on state and federal CU regulation.

Utah League Elects New Leaders
SALT LAKE CITY-The Utah League of CUs, fresh off its latest battle with the banks, elected John Lund, executive vice president of America First FCU, as its new chairman. Lund will succeed Steve Chistiansen, president of Tooele FCU, who led the league through it legislative fights over the last four years. Brett Blackburn, president of Utah Central CU, was elected vice chair; and Kent Greenfield, president of Ogden City School District CU, was elected board secretary.
Jarvis Named Director Of DFI
OLYMPIA, Wash.-Scott Jarvis has been named director of Washington's Department of Financial Institutions. Jarvis had been serving as deputy commissioner in the Office of the Insurance Commissioner, and was also previously legal counsel in the Office of the State Treasurer. "Scott brings the promise of leadership and a well-developed knowledge of financial affairs to the DFI. We look forward to working with him," said Washington league CEO John Annaloro.
Tampa Bay Federal Expands FOM
TAMPA Fla.-Tampa Bay Federal Credit Union has expanded via a merger with the $546,000 FSES Federal Credit Union. FSES served just 275 members with an FOM that included employees of the State of Florida's Department of Labor and Employment Security, including subsequent service deliverers, who work in the counties of Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco, Manatee, Sarasota and Hernando.
