Would-Be Pipe Bomber Convicted

COLUMBIA, S.C. - The last of four suspects charged in a scheme to plant pipe bombs at a school in order to create a diversion during a robbery of Founders CU has been convicted for his role in the scheme.

According to local news reports, Steven Michael Eddington, 18, was convicted of conspiracy to rob a bank, possession of explosive devices and other charges and faces a minimum of 40 years in prison.

His father, Timothy Wayne Eddington, was convicted last month and still awaits sentencing. William Christopher Puckett, who is the nephew of the elder Eddington, and Edgar Scott Williams IV pleaded guilty last year.
