XP A Finalist In IBM Awards; Intro's LynxGate

XP Systems, a business unit of Fiserv, Inc. been named a finalist in the IBM PartnerWorld Beacon Awards competition. XP Systems is one of three finalists nominated in the Best DB2* Information Management Solution category. The award was presented at the IBM PartnerWorld conference in Las Vegas.

In a field of 574 nominations from around the globe competing in 31 categories, XP Systems made the cut for its implementation of the IBM DB2 Universal Database with its newly designed XP2(r) information management system for credit unions.

Separately, XP Systems has introduced LynxGate Solutions, which provides ATM management solutions and electronic funds transfer gateway products to financial institutions that drive their own ATM networks. The company said that LynxGate evolved from XP Systems' CAT (Controller for Automated Tellers) product. LynxGate provides solutions to 240 financial institutions and the unit's products currently interface with eight core systems, including those of Fiserv's XP Systems, USERS, CUSA and Summit units. CAT, the primary ATM product offered by LynxGate, deploys next-generation technology for the in-house management of ATM transaction processing.

"Geared to medium to large-sized institutions, the product's customer base includes National Institutes of Health Federal Credit Union of Maryland with $380 million in assets and Community Credit Union of Texas with $1.3 billion in assets. Community Credit Union operates 95 ATMs and processes 150,000 transactions per day through LynxGate's CAT product," the company said.
