Franklin Mint
Franklin Mint FCU, Broomall, Pa., presented a limited Collectors Edition of The Berenstain Bears Visit the Credit Union to a local elementary school as part of a financial literacy assembly celebrating school spirit.
Carolina Trust
For the third year, Carolina Trust FCU, Myrtle Beach, S.C., partnered with River Oaks Elementary School to offer an In-School Banking program to help students develop healthy saving habits at an early age. During the 2015-2016 school year, students were automatically entered to win a $100 savings deposit, with two students winning. The program will continue.
Georgia United
Georgia United CU, Duluth, Ga., announced the winner of its 3rd Annual School Crashers Makeover program, Oakcliff Elementary School of Doraville. Five runner-up schools will receive School Crashers mini-makeovers.
Sikorsky
Sikorsky CU expanded its presence in its headquarters city, Stratford, Conn., with the opening of a new branch at Stationhouse Square.
Altura
Altura CUs management team went above and beyond (literally) to raise funds for Habitat for Humanity veteran services by rappelling down the tallest building in Riverside, Calif. In addition to raising $3,800 through online pledges, Altura donated $3,000 to the Over the Edge challenge sponsored by Habitat for Humanity Riverside for a total of $6,800.
CoastHills
CoastHills CU, Lompoc, Calif., awarded $45,000 in scholarships to local college students and hosted each recipient and their guests at a special luncheon held at The Cliffs Resort in Pismo Beach.
Kellogg
Kellogg Community CU, Battle Creek, Mich., announced the winner of its auto promotion, OMG! My Car (Truck or Bike) is Free? sweepstakes. Everyone who financed a new or used vehicle for $7,500 or more had a chance to have their vehicle paid off, up to $20,000.
MidSouth
MidSouth Community FCU, Macon, Ga., made a donation to the Exchange Club of Macon to assist in sponsoring the Extra K for the Kids 6K.
Point Breeze
Point Breeze CU, Hunt Valley, Md., received the Dora Maxwell Social Responsibility Community Service Award from CUNA for bringing art instruction to two elementary and middle schools following unrest in the city.
MD DC
The Credit Union Foundation MD|DC selected high school students at the Applications & Research Lab, Ellicott City, Md., as the 2016 "Millionaire's Club of the Year."
