Royal gets naming rights

Eau Claire, Wis.-based Royal CU’s Foundation donated $50,000 to the Osceola Medical Center and received naming rights to the Royal Credit Union Sport Court, a versatile, multipurpose outdoor facility available for the entire Osceola community.

American Heritage CU’s Kids-N-Hope Foundation donated $130,000 to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, a result of the CU’s 2016 fundraising efforts.

Tower's tech department gives back

Employees from the operations and technology division of Tower FCU, Laurel, Md., raised $1,700 through a fundraiser, selling soups, chili and other homemade goods. The proceeds were donated to TowerCares Foundation, which used it to purchase sheets, pajamas and food for residents of Sarah’s House, which provides assistance to the homeless.

SouthPoint Financial CU, Sleepy Eye, Minn., continued its growth in southern Minnesota with a fifth location opening in North Mankato. The SouthPoint branch is the first community-chartered credit union in North Mankato.

Vermont FCU feeds its neighbors

During the last quarter of 2016, Vermont FCU, Burlington, Vt., raised $24,000 for United Way of Northwestern Vermont, gathered holiday gifts for families in need, helped to collect 6,000 lbs. of food for the annual Feed Your Neighbor event, supported financial education in local high schools and sponsored multiple community events.

The staff of BMI FCU, Dublin, Ohio, worked tirelessly to make the Kids n’ Kamp Holiday Party a success by donating 5,900 cookies and 48 two-liters of beverages. Kids n’ Kamp supports the emotional, social and educational needs of children suffering from cancer, and their families.

CEFCU's new member center

Peoria, Ill.-based CEFCU opened a new member center in Canton, Ill. The full-service 4,500-square-foot branch has three drive-up service lanes, along with a drive-up Money Center 24 ATM.
