Since 1937, U.S. flags flown over the Capitol Building in Washington, D.C. have been presented to honor the works of civic organizations and individuals. One such flag was presented to Fort Knox FCU Director Emeritus Howard A. Williams.
Inspire FCU has called 2104 Bath Road in Bristol, Pa., its home for many years, and for the first time in its long, historic tenure, the CU completed an extensive branch remodel.
Hartford FCU, Hartford, Conn., presented a $1,000 check and hundreds of pounds of food to Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center to help support the Joan C. Dauber Food Bank and the hospitals annual coat drive.
In Battle Creek, Mich., Kellogg Community FCU employees dressed down or wore blue jeans on designated Fridays in exchange for a charitable donation. Together, employees provided S.A.F.E. Place with a donation of $500.
Gerber FCU, Fremont, Mich., presented a check for $7,409.67 to United Way Newaygo County.
Genisys CU, Auburn Hills, Mich., partnered with the Michigan DECA club to sponsor the Annual DECA District 7 Career Development Conference, held at Lake Orion High School.
Service One CU, Bowling Green, Ky., named the 4 area teachers who were recipients of its 2015 Classroom Supply Grants. Each winner was awarded $250.
Employees of MSUFCU, East Lansing, Mich., celebrated the credit union's 77th anniversary by paying it forward with $7,700 and by performing random acts of kindness in the local community.
Rev. John Babowitch earned his parish school, Our Lady of Calvary, a $5,000 grant for personal finance resources by kissing a pig at TruMark Financial CU's annual Kiss-A-Pig Financial Literacy event in Trevose, Pa.
In Medford, N.Y., Suffolk FCU and its members contributed more than $3,000 to Stony Brook Children's Hospital through its "Beanie Bear" fundraiser.
