Robotics is big at Littleton HS
Fitchburg, Mass.-based Workers CU’s Charitable Giveback program donated $2,500 to Littleton High School’s FIRST Robotics team, which was established by the Littleton STEM Educational Foundation. Separately, Fitchburg’s first dog park is one step closer to reality thanks to an $11,500 donation from Workers CU.
Relocation just a stone's throw away
Redondo Beach, Calif.-based South Bay CU held a grand opening for its relocated North Redondo Beach branch, just 0.3 miles away and a quick six-minute walk from where its old operations center was housed for 45 years. As part of the grand opening celebration, South Bay CU held a successful blood drive to benefit Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.
PrimeTrust teams up for the holidays (again)
Since 1990, Muncie, Ind.-based PrimeTrust FCU and its members have been helping area residents by providing Christmas gifts. This year, PrimeTrust teamed up with Bridges Community Services, Brookside Haven Health Care Center, LifeStream – Angel Worx, and Youth Opportunity Center to help 92 individuals have a merrier Christmas.

Tower cares
Employees from the Operations & Technology division of Tower FCU came together at its Laurel, Md., headquarters to offer soups, chili and other homemade goods, raising $1,700 for TowerCares Foundation, a charitable organization that aids, among others, children in need.
Training student tellers
NuMark CU, Joliet, Ill., trained students from Rockdale School Elementary School in Rockdale and Forest Park I.E. School in Joliet to become the next batch of student tellers for the state sponsored Bank at School program.
Food Basket donation
Hawaii Community FCU, Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, held its annual “Market Days” events. Through the heart-felt efforts of HCFCU staff, and the generosity of HCFCU members and local small businesses, more than $23,000 was raised and donated to The Food Basket food bank.
Toys for Tots collection
Tidemark FCU, Seaford, Del., collected several bags of items on behalf of Toys for Tots.
DuPont Community expands
DuPont Community CU, Waynesboro, Va., is expanding its presence in the Harrisonburg/Rockingham County community with the construction of its fourth Harrisonburg location. The approximately 3,500-square-foot facility will be on the corner of Stone Port Boulevard and Stone Spring Road in the new Stone Port Development area.
Helping Escambia County achieve more
Pen Air FCU, Pensacola, Fla., presented a gift commitment as a Lead Vision sponsor in the amount of $75,000 to Achieve Escambia, which helps improve educational and workforce outcomes in Escambia County.
Foster care aid
Community Choice CU, Farmington Hills, Mich., named The Foster Closet of Michigan, Western Wayne County, as the nonprofit winner of the Community Choice Foundation’s latest Give Big Grants program, awarding the organization $2,793 to use towards cribs, mattresses and car seats for children in foster care.
