One CU has a fun way to reach out to youth and other community news.
St. Annes
St. Anne's CU, Fall River, Mass., celebrated its younger members by hosting a Lego Fun Day.
TruStone
TruStone Financial CU, Plymouth, Minn., awarded $11,000 in scholarships to eight students from high schools in Minnesota and Wisconsin: two $2,500 scholarships and six $1,000 scholarships.
SDCCU
Teachers throughout San Diego received resources to teach students about money and business thanks to San Diego County CU and local government launching the SDCCU Biz Kid$ program. Separately, SDCCU opened a new branch located in the heart of San Diego's Hillcrest area.
Vantage
Vantage CU, Bridgeton, Mo., awarded $1,000 each to three lucky winners of its Spring Vehicle Promotion. To qualify, members either refinanced a vehicle loan from another FI or purchased a new vehicle and financed with Vantage.
St. Lawrence
St. Lawrence FCU, Ogdensburg, N.Y., is sponsoring the B.A.S.S. Master Elite tournament with a $2,500 donation.
Travis
Travis CU, Vacaville, Calif., said Andrea Baptie, manager of its branch in Atwater, Calif., represented the CU as Grand Marshal of this year's Atwater 4th of July Parade.
Tower
Tower FCU offered free health screenings, wellness services and more to employees during its annual Employee Health Fair, held at its Laurel, Md., headquarters and at its branch in Columbia, Md.
Service 1
A team of employees representing Service 1 FCU, Norton Shores, Mich., walked in the annual Relay For Life Muskegon event, raising a record $13,000 for the American Cancer Society.
TEG
TEG FCU, Poughkeepsie, N.Y., donated $750 to Sparrow's Nest of the Hudson Valley, a charity that cooks and delivers meals to families with caregivers battling cancer.
UVA
The U.S. Small Business Administration recognized UVA Community CU, Charlottesville, Va., as the Top Credit Union in the Richmond District for the fifth time in the last six years.
