Member One FCU, Roanoke, Va., assisted two local schools through its annual Pens, Paper & Promise school supply drive. Member One employees donated 22 boxes of school supplies.
American Eagle
More than 20 employee volunteers from American Eagle CU, a division of Anheuser-Busch Employees’ CU, helped build a series of homes in a new community for families in need with Habitat for Humanity Saint Louis. The CU also donated $5,000 to this HFHSL community.
In Colorado Springs, Colo., Ent CU’s employees and members raised nearly $42,000 in support of Springs Rescue Mission's "Building a Community of Hope" campaign to expand its downtown campus. Ent CU donated more than $8,000, for a total contribution of $50,000.

In Wall, N.J., First Financial FCU Foundation awarded $500 scholarships to four seniors from Monmouth and Ocean counties who will be attending accredited colleges.

Staff from Sun East FCU, Aston, Pa., spent a day meeting with legislators from Delaware County during the annual Credit Union Day in Harrisburg, Pa.
Michigan State
Employees of Michigan State University FCU, East Lansing, Mich., held a six-month fundraising campaign and donated $79,372 to Small Talk Children’s Assessment Center, benefiting local children who are victims of physical and sexual abuse.
Alaska USA
Alaska USA FCU opened a new branch in a Safeway store in Peoria, Ariz., its sixth branch in the Grand Canyon State, including the Glendale branch that opened in 2014, and the Mesa, Phoenix, Tempe and Avondale branches that opened in 2015 and 2016.
United FCU, St. Joseph, Mich., served as the gold-level sponsor of the 2016 Knights of Columbus Memorial Golf Tournament, raising $1,700 for a Catholic Community Center. UFCU was Best of the Best in the bank/credit union category of the annual Leader Publication’s Readers’ Choice Awards, and won a second place award in the Best Place to Work category.
Western Cooperative
Western Cooperative CU, Williston N.D., participated in the annual Project Hope program, holding jeans days and a vacation day raffle, selling bracelets and T-Shirts, and delivering Taco-in-a-Bags. The total of all this fundraising: $2,638.
Los Angeles
Los Angeles FCU, Glendale, Calif., turned a group of local teens into financial champs with its “Cash Rules” financial education class, an upbeat crash course in personal finance taught by LAFCU business development staff Sal Murguia and Robert Aguirre.
