From adopting military families and opening new branches to matching donations and collecting toys, a look at the good things CUs are doing in their communities.
NuVision FCU, Huntington Beach, Calif., adopted 23 military families for the holidays, delivering a full bag of groceries and a Ralphs/Food 4 Less gift card to each family.
Kohler CU, Kohler, Wis., celebrated the opening of its newest branch on Port Washington Road in Mequon, Wis.
Holy Rosary CU, Rochester, N.H., and Northeast CU, Portsmouth, N.H., made matching $1,000 donations, and gave food supplies and holiday gifts to the Homeless Center for Strafford County.
The newest branch of St. Helens Community CU, located on Highway 30 in St. Helens, Ore., was officially commemorated with a ribbon cutting.
Genisys CU, Auburn Hills, Mich., celebrated the opening of its newest location in Royal Oak, Mich.
In Oxford, Ala., AOD FCU presented the Allen Ray Chaffin Marine Corps League with a $2,000 donation for its Toys for Tots project.
Fox Communities CU, Appleton, Wis., sent two-and-a-half vans full of toys for the Toys for Tots drive.
Hanscom FCU, Hanscom AFB, Mass., continued one of its most meaningful annual traditions by delivering $1,000 worth of personal items to the Veterans Affairs Boston Healthcare System.
For the sixth consecutive year JetStream FCU, Miami Lakes, Fla., partnered with The EDGE (The Early Development of Global Education) Charitable Foundation for their annual toy drive.
MidSouth Community FCU, Macon, Ga., presented a donation to United Way of Central Georgia.
