Texas Trust CU, Mansfield, Texas, raised $2,250 for two local charities, the Wesley Mission Center and the Cedar Hill Food Pantry. Money was collected during Texas Trust's Greatest Celebration on Earth end of year party. The CU also donated $5,000 and more than 400 toys to the local Toys for Tots Foundation.
MidSouth Community FCU, Macon, Ga., presented a donation to United Way of Central Georgia.
AMOCO FCU, Texas City, Texas, donated $1,000 to Texas EquuSearch, an organization dedicated to searching for and recovering missing persons. Separately, Hope Village hosted its 41st annual Christmas Pageant, "Christmas in the Village," which was sponsored by the CU, and AMOCO hosted two assisted living residencies for a holiday luncheon.
Employees of First Capital FCU, York, Pa., once again adopted a family from the Bell Family Shelter, a 30-day emergency shelter serving homeless families in York County.
Genisys CU, Auburn Hills, Mich., collected 3,000 coats to be donated to those in need this winter, adopted six families for the holidays by purchasing gifts for children with special needs, and was a presenting sponsor for the Holiday Extravaganza WinterFUN Festival and Parade.
Tinker FCU, Oklahoma City, Okla., named the winners of its fifth annual Financial Empowerment Teacher of the Year award program.
Edge FCU, Liverpool, N.Y., recognized Morgan Road Elementary as its Golden Savings School of the Year.
In Franklin, Va., Bronco FCU members and staff brought in more than 1,700 lbs. of food, which was delivered to the Franklin Cooperative Ministries and to the Suffolk branch of the Salvation Army.
Arkansas FCU, Jacksonville, Ark., donated $64,904 to Arkansas Childrens Hospital to go toward a new camera system in the NICU.
The staff and members of NESC FCU, Methuen, Mass., donated holiday gifts to the children of St. Annes Home & School.
America First CU, Riverdale, Utah, gave $80,000 during its annual check presentation event. From its non-profit organization, the America First Charitable Foundation, eight organizations received $10,000 each to continue efforts to help others.
Employees of LBS Financial CU, Long Beach, Calif., donated hundreds of toys, gifts and clothing to the children of Young Horizons.
Teri Barbeau won a 60-inch Samsung flat-screen TV as part of Riverside, Calif.-based Altura CUs campaign to create awareness of its low-rate auto loans.
