Wine for the Cure: CoastHills Helps Raise $75K for Cancer Center

CoastHills CU, Lompoc, Calif., presented a $75,000 check to the Mission Hope Cancer Center from proceeds of its 2014 Rancho Vino event. The funding will provide crucial support for those undergoing cancer treatments.
Ent FCU, Colorado Springs, Colo., was recognized for its ongoing support of Colorado Springs Utilities' Project COPE, a program that provides utilities payment assistance to members of the Colorado Springs community.
Members Advantage CU, Michigan City, Ind., presented a check in the amount of $500 to the Service League of Michigan City.
Great Lakes CU, Bannockburn, Ill., raised money for Credit Unions for Kids and Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. It donated $10,000 to its local CMN Hospital, Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago.
Fort Sill FCU, Fort Sill, Okla., partnered with Girl Scouts of Western Oklahoma to teach 200 Girl Scouts in Comanche County about three elements of financial literacy: spend, save and give.
Indiana Members CU, Indianapolis, presented a check for $2,960 to Beech Grove City Schools in Beech Grove, Ind., as part of an ongoing school spirit debit card program. Separately, the Indiana Members Foundation's 7th Annual Bowl A Thon raised more than $12,500.
Robins FCU, Warner Robins, Ga., will once again sponsor pins for the 2015 Cherry Blossom Festival. Separately, the CU's Jack G. Byrd, Jr. Learning Center received the Business of the Month award from Keep Warner Robins Beautiful.
In a partnership with the North Carolina Tree Farm Program (NCTFP), State Employees' CU, Raleigh, N.C., distributed bluebird houses to NCTFP's newly certified tree farmers. Separately, SECU awarded a $10,000 scholarship to Pamlico County High School graduate Megan Ehmke.
The Credit Union Association of the Dakotas' South Dakota Legislative Event took place in Pierre, S.D., with more than 30 credit union professionals participating in "Hike the Hill" at the state capitol.
Peach State FCU, Lawrenceville, Ga., donated food to Faith Serving in Humanity (F.I.S.H) in Walton County.
