First Horizon Bank

Headquarters: Memphis, Tennessee

Assets: $89 billion

Female representation among senior employees: 42%

Female representation on operating/management committee: 44%

Three women joined the C-suite at First Horizon in 2021. Tammy LoCascio was promoted to chief operating officer, Tanya Hart was elevated to chief human resources officer and Hope Dmuchowski was recruited and hired as the chief financial officer. The three joined a C-suite that already had a female chief risk officer, chief credit officer and chief communications officer. For the first time in the bank's history, women make up 60% of the executive management team. And the overall percentage of female employees at the senior level nearly doubled from 2020 to 2022 — 24% and 42%, respectively.  However, only time will tell if this team continues to work together. In February, TD Bank Group announced it would acquire First Horizon.

Hope Dmuchowski joined First Horizon in November 2021 from Truist Bank, where she was the head of financial planning and analysis and management reporting. She helped First Horizon achieve $100 million in cost savings and $45 million in revenues as a result of the merger with IberiaBank. Dmuchowski is playing a leading role in TD Bank's acquisition of First Horizon. The merger, which is currently being scrutinized by federal regulators, would create a top-six bank in the U.S. by assets.
