MINNEAPOLIS -- First Bank System Inc. said its credit card subsidiary has been selected to provide corporate Visa cards and related travel payment services for Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing Co. and Super Valu Stores Inc.
FBS Card Services Inc. will issue 15,000 Visa cards to 3M and 1,000 to Super Valu employees to replace others used by the two Twin Cities-based companies. Both said the First Bank Visa program offered increased flexibility and reduced costs.
A First Bank System department, FBS Corporate Payment Systems, is the largest U.S. issuer of Visa corporate and business cards. Including 3M and Super Valu, the bank company issues cards for 55 companies listed on the Fortune 500 and Fortune Service 500.
