The American Bankers Association announced its slate of candidates last week for officer positions for 2011-12, which will be considered at the group's annual convention in San Antonio next month.
Albert C. Kelley, the president and chief executive of Spirit Bank in Bristow, Okla., was nominated to be chairman. Matthew H. Williams, the chairman and president of Gothenburg State Bank in Nebraska, was nominated as chairman-elect.
Jeff Plagge, the president of Northwest Financial Corp. in Arnolds Park, Iowa, was nominated to be vice chairman, and Stephen G. Crowe, the president and CEO of MountainOne Financial Partners MHC in North Adams, Mass., was nominated as treasurer.
The ABA also nominated seven bankers to serve on its board: Norman Beatty, the chairman, president and CEO of First Hope Bank in Hope, N.J.; R. Daniel Blanton, the president and CEO of Southeastern Bank Financial Corp. in Augusta, Ga.; Guillermo Diaz-Rousselot, the president and CEO of Continental National Bank of Miami; Richard E. Holbrook, the chairman, president and CEO of Eastern Bank Corp. in Boston; John A. Ikard, the president and CEO of FirstBank Holding Co. in Lakewood, Colo.; Stanley D. Jenks, the president and CEO of Security Savings Bank in Monmouth, Ill.; and Todd Maclin, the CEO of commercial banking and consumer and business banking at JPMorgan Chase & Co. in Dallas.
