ACNB in Pennsylvania Promotes Helt to President of Bank

ACNB in Gettysburg, Pa., has promoted James Helt to president of its bank unit.

The $1.1 billion-asset company said Helt will become president of ACNB Bank on Sept. 1. Thomas Ritter, who is currently president and chief executive of both ACNB Bank and the holding company, will retain those titles for the holding company and remain CEO of ACNB Bank.

Helt has been executive vice president of banking services at ACNB Bank since 2008, with oversight of all lending activities, retail banking offices and other divisions. Helt previously worked for Susquehanna Bank.

Helt's promotion is "part of ACNB Corporation's continuing long-term succession planning," Frank "Rusty" Elsner, ACNB's chairman, said in a news release.
