The Dallas card company Alliance Data Systems Corp. has agreed to process a private-label credit card for the retailer Hot Topic Inc.

Alliance Data said Thursday that the Hot Topic is creating the card for its Torrid brand of plus-sized, youth apparel, and music-related accessories. Alliance Data will handle issuing, authorization, marketing, and customer service for the card.
Hot Topic has a million customers enrolled in its Torrid reward program. The City of Industry, Calif., retailer will offer additional benefits to members who sign up for a Torrid card.
