American Century Investments of Kansas City, Mo., has hired Barry Fink, a longtime Morgan Stanley executive, as its chief operating officer and executive vice president.
Mr. Fink, 52, will also become a member of the board of directors when he joins American Century on July 2. He was a managing director at Morgan Stanley, where he worked for 20 years.
American Century has made a series of senior leadership hires and promotions recently. Last month it named Mark On chief investment officer for international equities; in March it promoted Jonathan S. Thomas to president and chief executive officer; and in January it named Enrique Chang chief investment officer.
American Century had $106 billion of assets under management on March 31.
