Atlanta's MDS takes name of its parent.

ATLANTA -- MDS, an Atlanta-based credit scoring and target marketing company that competes with Fair, Isaac & Co., has adopted the name of its parent, the CCN Group.

CCN Group calls itself the world's largest provider of credit management and target marketing services, with $120 million in annual sales. The group, based in Nottingham, England, was formed in 1980 and has owned MDS since 1985. It has 2,000 employees and 15 offices in 10 countries.

The company said the former MDS, now CCN's MDS division, will play a role in its clients' international expansion as well as that of CCN.
