B of A Hires Dozens of Small-Business Bankers in Texas

Bank of America Corp. said Tuesday that it has hired 75 small-business bankers in Texas and that it intends to add roughly 25 more in the state by the end of the first quarter.

The company said it is adding staff in Texas because roughly 96% of the companies in the state have less than 100 employees. In the Dallas area alone, small businesses employ roughly 40% of all workers.

"Our small-business customers want a banking relationship that meets them where they are, providing solutions that are tailored for their business," said Anna Colton, a small-business banking executive at B of A.

The Texas hires are part of a broader plan to add roughly 1,000 small-business bankers across country.
