Bacon Takes Over at 1st Western Financial
Anne Bacon has become president and chief executive officer of First Western Financial Corp. and its subsidiary, First Western Savings Association, Las Vegas.
Ms. Bacon succeeded H. Bruce Francis, who was named president and chief operating officer in late March after the resignation of Raymond J. Gregor, then president and chief executive officer.
The company said Mr. Francis left to open a business with his daughter.
Ms. Bacon has been chief executive at three West Coast financial institutions, most recently at Pioneer Savings and Loan Association of Newport Beach, Calif.
R.G. Taylor, 72, chairman of First Western's board of directors, said that he would retire from the board after a short transition period.
Mr. Taylor had remained past normal retirement age to help First Western obtain a strategic merger and make the transition to a new chief executive, the company said.
Three other directors announced that they would retire with Mr. Taylor: Herbert W. Marache Jr., 63, who has served as a director since 1969; J. Kell Houssels Jr., 68, a director since 1977; and Charles L. Ruthe, 56, a director since 1985.
