Bank of Boston Corp. unveiled a toll-free that real estate investors can call for information on the company's $400 million of foreclosed property.
Callers to Prism Properties Inc., a newly formed subsidiary, may punch in their requests or leave voice messages to receive listings. The number is 800-758-6610. Managing director Charles H. Cremens said the bank hoped to reduce the man-hours that go into answering requests, while gaining brand recognition for its marketing efforts under the Prism name.
Five States Involved
He also said the service is the first that gives investors access to property lists in the portfolios of Bank of Boston and its affiliates -- Bank of Boston Connecticut, Bank of Vermont, Casco Northern Bank in Maine, and Rhode Island Hospital Trust. Separate listings of residential properties and of commercial properties over and under $500,000 will updated each Friday.
