Bank of Commerce Buys Payroll Firm, Adds Small-Biz Clients

Bank of Commerce Holdings in Redding, Calif., has beefed up its payroll processing capabilities by acquiring a small payroll firm in its hometown.

The $869 million-asset company said Monday that it its deal for L&L Payroll Service will increase the number of small businesses for which it processes payrolls to 259.

L&L Payroll Service offers payroll services to small businesses with one to 300 employees. Its owner, Lori Yarnell, will join Bank of Commerce's lead subsidiary, Redding Bank of Commerce.

Redding Bank of Commerce provides a range of payroll services for its clients, including time and attendance programs, automatic tax services, free direct deposit and workers' compensation tracking.
