Bank of the West Names McGrath To Succeed Departing CEO

Francisco, succeeding Michel Larrouth, who is retiring on Jan. 1. Mr. McGrath, a 20-year veteran of the company, has been president, chief operating officer, and a member of the board since 1991. Previously, he was chief financial officer and treasurer. Mr. Larrouth had been chief executive since 1984. Under his leadership, the bank completed a major expansion from $1.2 billion in assets and 42 branches to $4.3 billion in assets and 100 branches throughout Northern California. Mr. Larrouth will continue as vice chairman of the bank's board of directors. Robert Fuhrman is chairman of Bank of the West.
