Banks Jump on the TLGP Bandwagon

A slew of banks are registering for the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp.’s Temporary Liquidity Guarantee Program, including JPMorgan Chase, Bank of New York Mellon, KeyCorp, Marshall & Isley, and Independent Bank Corp. The program includes a guarantee of newly issued debt from banks, thrifts, and certain holding companies in exchange for assessment premiums, with the first assessments due on December 19.
