Barclays Global Investors launched an international dividend fund Friday.
The iShares Dow Jones EPAC Select Dividend Index Fund complements the iShares Dow Jones U.S. Select Dividend Index Fund, which was the first U.S. dividend exchange-traded fund listed in the United States and has $8.7 billion of assets under management.
The new fund measures the performance of high-dividend-paying companies in markets such as Canada, Western Europe, Japan, Australia, Singapore, and Hong Kong.
Barclays Global Investors, a San Francisco unit of Barclays PLC, has 190 ETFs worldwide. At yearend it had $1.8 trillion of assets under management.
