Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc. announced Tuesday that Lee Stettner will join the firm as a senior managing director and global head of equity capital markets.
In the newly created position, Mr. Stettner will play a key lead role in the firm's strategic finance group, where he will focus on further developing the firm's capital markets product offerings.
Mr. Stettner had been Deutsche Bank's head of health-care investment banking for the Americas. Previously he was co-head of equity capital markets for the Americas at Deutsche Bank and spearheaded ECM coverage for health care and real estate/gaming/lodging.
Before joining Deutsche Bank, Mr. Stettner helped build the equity capital markets business at Credit Suisse First Boston, where he covered primarily the health care and business service sectors. He previously held positions at Morgan Stanley and Dean Witter.
Bear Stearns Strategic Finance Group was started in 2004 as a joint effort between the firm's equities, fixed-income, and investment banking businesses.
