Bear Stearns Hedge Funds Filing For Bankruptcy -CNBC

NEW YORK (Dow Jones)-- Bear Stearns filed for bankruptcy for two hedge funds on July 31 in the Cayman Islands, CNBC's Charles Gasparino reported Tuesday.

Gasparino said the bank is filing overseas to avoid a U.S. bankruptcy judgewho recently ruled against them in a case about its brokerage of a hedge fund.
