One of the nation's largest finance companies, Beneficial Corp., said it would open a bank branch Sunday with daily service and longer-than-usual hours.

The branch of Beneficial National Bank will be open Mondays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The office, which Beneficial said would be the first nonsupermarket branch in Delaware to offer daily service, will also feature an automated teller machine that dispenses coins.

This will let bank customers cash checks to the penny, Beneficial said.

The branch, in Wilmington's Concord Square shopping center, will also accommodate a small-business lending specialist, Beneficial said.

Beneficial National is a subsidiary of Beneficial Corp., which has $15 billion of assets.
