BITS Releases SIG Lite

In the face of limited uptake in the market, BITS has issued a watered-down version of its standardized information-gathering questionnaire. Known as SIG 3.1, or SIG Lite, the abbreviated list of questions follows the reality that since the shared assessment program was launched nearly two years ago more than 4,000 people have downloaded the guidelines, but only 70 full assessments are known to have been completed.

The goal of the shared assessment program was to cut the amount of time and energy institutions had to put into qualifying vendors by subjecting them to a common security questionnaire.
