New York City Deputy Mayor Edward Skyler will leave his post at the end of April to help oversee communications both with investors and government at the banking giant Citigroup Inc.

Skyler is to lead all external and internal communications and share leadership of government affairs and investor relations in his newly created post. The company said Skyler, who has been a member of Mayor Michael Bloomberg's administration since the billionaire was first sworn in eight years ago, is to join Citi in early May.
