Lawson-Hawks Insurance Associates Inc., a regional independent insurance broker in Mountain View, Calif., announced that it has bought Truckee Insurance Agency.
The price of the deal, which closed Thursday, was not disclosed.
John Miller, Lawson-Hawks' chief executive officer, said in a press release that the purchase gives his company offices in the Truckee, Calif., Greater Lake Tahoe and Reno areas. Lawson-Hawks plans to open a Reno office.
Before the deal, Lawson-Hawks' California offices were in Sacramento, Monterey, Modesto, San Francisco, Irvine and San Rafael.
Founded in 1937, Lawson-Hawks is a national independent insurance brokerage that sells risk management, commercial and personal lines insurance, association programs, retirement planning and employee benefits to more than 75,000 customers.
