Capital Briefs: B of A Funding Community Activist Training

Bank of America Community Development Bank unveiled a $1.1 million program Tuesday to train activists to revitalize neighborhoods.

The program will provide 30 days of schooling to 105 executives from community groups. The bank is funding the project with the proceeds from a $2.6 million award it received for its community development efforts.

"We think this investment in human capital is the most important investment we can make," BankAmerica Corp. executive vice president Donald Mullane said.
