Capital One Hires Two Middle-Market Bankers for N.Y.

Capital One (COF) has bolstered its commercial-lending team by hiring bankers away from JPMorgan Chase and the CIT Group.

Joseph Nastri and Marcy Dean have joined the McLean, Va., bank's middle-market lending team in New York, Capital One announced Monday. Nastri is a market executive and Dean is senior vice president in the $296 billion-asset company's New York region.

Before joining Capital One, Nastri managed JPMorgan Chase's (JPM) middle-market apparel group. Earlier, he worked for Bank of America (BAC) and its predecessors.

Nastri "brings invaluable experience and a track record of success in commercial banking," said Ellen Marshall, regional executive for the New York area, in the news release. "His deep knowledge of the industry and the region make him a strong addition to our team."

Dean had spent nine years as a director at the CIT Group (CIT), focusing on technology, software and information-services companies.
