Card Briefs: Cirrus Members Form Global Quality Team

WESTCHESTER, Ill. - To improve performance and develop strategies for maintaining quality standards, members of the MasterCard/Cirrus global automated teller machine network have formed a global quality task force.

At its initial meeting last month, the task force set several goals, including piloting an emergency service plan and implementing the industry's first worldwide acquirer audit to test ATMs from the cardholder's perspective.

Other initiatives for 1995 include simplifying cardholders' interaction with ATMs, establishing uniform global operational standards, reducing system failures, and enhancing information provided to members.
