Card Briefs: Net Expert Rolls Out Purchasing Software

Inforonics, a company that helps businesses make use of Internet data bases, has introduced software for corporate purchasing card programs.

The software, I-Pay, works with Visa U.S.A. purchasing cards and conveys "level 3" transaction data, the maximum amount of information that can accompany a purchasing card transaction. It connects a company's on-line purchasing card system to suppliers' catalogues on the Web.

Mark Pinsley, vice president of sales and marketing at Inforonics, said procurement cards "offer large and medium-size enterprises many of the benefits" that traditional electronic data interchange was supposed to offer.
