Banking consultant Les Dinkin has joined the New York- based firm Oliver, Wyman & Co. as director of its retail financial services practice.
Mr. Dinkin was previously managing principal of NBW Consulting Group, Westport, Conn. Earlier in his career he was senior manager of KPMG Peat Marwick, a line manager at Citibank, and a brand manager with Nabisco.
Oliver Wyman said Mr. Dinkin will play a key role in the expansion of retail financial services activities worldwide.
Financial institutions need to "reconceive and restructure today's offerings to better and more profitably serve an extremely diverse and poorly addressed set of retail customer segments," said chairman Alexander Oliver. Mr. Dinkin's broad experience "will complement and extend our existing capabilities in the retail sector."
