Card Briefs: Visa Exec Joins Board Of Bankruptcy Group

Kenneth R. Crone, senior vice president of Visa U.S.A.'s risk management and security division, has been elected a director of the American Bankruptcy Institute.

Mr. Crone, a 33-year veteran of the bank card industry, is active in state and federal bankruptcy reform efforts and has testified before Congress on the issue. He recently introduced an educational program used by Chapter 13 bankruptcy trustees to help improve debtors' financial management skills.

The ABI was formed in 1982 to provide Congress and the public with analyses of bankruptcy issues. On the ABI board are 60 bankruptcy specialists who serve three-year terms and meet semiannually.
