Visa International has introduced a marketing campaign to draw tourists to Korea. The year-long "Korea Welcomes Visa" promotion began Aug. 1 and offers cardholders discounts of up to 40% at more than 150 hotels, retail stores, restaurants, and recreational and cultural facilities.

The campaign, a cooperative effort with the Korea National Tourism Organization, "is an example of Visa's long-term commitment to Korea, a new emerging tourist destination in the Asia-Pacific region," said Young Chong Kim, president of Visa International, Korea.
