SAN FRANCISCO - Visa Gold is sponsoring a World Wide Web site on the Internet for Elton John fans.
The British rocker, whose 1995 "Made in England for the U.S.A." tour is also sponsored by Visa, will not be on-line, but fans can check in for tour information as well as imagery used on tour banners and stage passes, photos, and insights into Elton John and his music.
Visa said the site is receiving hundreds of visits each day. Audio clips and filmed interviews with the artist are featured, along with a comprehensive discography and an interactive quiz.
The site also provides information about purchasing tour merchandise and a limited edition Elton John compact disc.
