Cards Briefs: Visa Hitching Ride With Ice Show to Asia

Visa International's role as the official card brand of the Warner Brothers-Family Entertainment on Ice Tour will extend to Asia this summer.

Between May and August, the $10 million production will visit seven cities in Asia: Bangkok, Thailand; Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; Singapore; Manila; Taipei, Taiwan; Djakarta; and Hong Kong.

Visa cardholders will be able to book tickets first during a Visa-only priority period in each city.

The show features Warner Brothers Looney Tunes cartoon characters, such as Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck, and the action figures Batman and Robin.

Separately, the Japan Satellite Broadcast Co., also known as Wowow in Japan, and Taichung Cable Television Co. in Taiwan are issuing cobranded Visa cards.

Nippon Shinpan and Credit Saison issue the Wowow Visa, which allows cardholders to pay cable TV bills with their cards. Pan Asia Bank issues the cobranded Taichung Cable Television's Visa. Cardholders can pay cable bills and get discounts from select merchants.
