CardSmith LLC said it will support a new card program at Southwestern Oregon Community College.

The Laker One Card, which is the Coos Bay, Ore., school's first picture identification card, enables cardholders to access campus facilities and manage and purchase food from a meal plan linked to a prepaid account, CardSmith, of Doylestown, Pa., said Monday.
CardSmith processes the meal plan transactions and provides cardholders with an online account center where they may view meal plan transactions and benefits, and manage account information. The school eventually plans to add more payment applications to the card, according to CardSmith.
Besides Southwestern Oregon, CardSmith supports campus card programs at 14 community colleges.
