Cathay General Bancorp in Los Angeles has added a former KPMG consultant to its board.
Jane Jelenko will become a director at the $10.5 billion-asset company on Jan. 2, Cathay said in a Friday press release. Jelenko worked at KPMG for 25 years in various roles, including a leader of the banking and investment services consulting group. She became the first woman consulting partner at KPMG in 1983.
Jelenko was also a director at Countrywide Financial Corp.'s Countrywide Bank.
