CenFed CFO resigns after half year in job.

PASADENA, Calif. - CenFed Financial Corp. said Patrick Hartman, senior vice president, chief financial officer, and secretary, has resigned effective immediately.

CenFed said in a press release that Mr. Hartman, who had joined the company in April after a long tenure in a similar post at a commercial bank, resigned to pursue commercial banking interests. D. Tad Lowrey, president and chief executive, will assume Mr. Hartman's responsibilities until a successor has been hired.

CenFed is a thrift holding company. Its subsidiary, CenFed Bank, has $1.2 billion in assets.
