Century South to acquire Gwinnett.

DAHLONEGA, Ga.--Century South Banks Inc. signed a letter of intent to acquire Gwinnett Bancorp, and its subsidiary banks, Gwinnett National Bank in a stock transaction.

Terms of the deal were not released. The acquisition is slated for completion during the first quarter of 1995 pending approval from regulators and Gwinnett Bancorp shareholders.

Century South has $487 million of assets and operates six banks in Georgia and Tennessee.
