Builders Insurance Group has announced the resignation of William J. Lohmeyer, its president and chief executive officer, to pursue other opportunities.
Allen Richardson, the Atlanta company's chairman of the board, said last week that Patrick J. Mitchell was elected chief operating officer and will take responsibility for the insurer's day-to-day operations. Mr. Mitchell has been its chief financial officer since August 2005. Mr. Richardson is assuming, for the interim, the role of chief executive officer in addition to the chairmanship.
Builders Insurance works through a network of independent agents to deliver insurance products to home builders.
