Chief Exec at Invest Financial Retires

Invest Financial Corp., a Tampa unit of Jackson National Life Insurance Co., has announced the retirement of Lynn Niedermeier as president and chief executive officer.

Niedermeier, 55, has held the posts since 2001. She was succeeded Monday on an interim basis by Jim Livingston, the president of National Planning Holdings Inc., an investment management unit of Jackson National Life. The insurer is a Lansing, Mich., unit of London's Prudential PLC.

Invest is a subsidiary of National Planning Holdings' independent broker-dealer network.

Livingston, 54, is based in Denver and will spend time in Invest's Tampa headquarters, where he will work with its management team, including Niedermeier, to smooth the transition.
