Citigroup Inc. is strengthening its cash management operation by creating an executive position and promoting an executive to fill another.
The New York company said Monday that it had hired Julie Monaco as its head of global transaction services for North America. She is in charge of driving growth in the cash management business.
Ms. Monaco previously handled treasury management services including payments and receivables as JPMorgan Chase & Co.'s product executive for foreign exchange.
Citi has also promoted Francesco Vanni d'Archirafi to head of global cash management.
He was previously the company's head of global transaction services for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. In that job, he was based in London and managed all transaction services products and client relationships in the region.
He will move to New York to take the new post, where he will oversee cash management products worldwide.
Mr. Vanni d'Archirafi has been with Citi and its predecessors for 24 years and is a member of its management committee and the chairman of Citibank Europe PLC.
